The Europe In Synch Podcast

EP12: Grégoire Bucaille (Prodigious) - The Lure of Paris & Its Luxury Brand Soundscapes

Europe In Synch Season 1 Episode 12

Welcome to episode twelve of the Europe In Synch podcast.

We are talking with Grégoire Bucaille, Artistic Director of Music Supervision at Prodigious, the Paris-based, in-house production agency of the Publicis Group.

Grégoire shares insights into his work uncovering compelling music for ad campaigns with luxury brands like Hermès, Cartier, and Armani.
We hear about his creative process, from brainstorming with his artistic partner, Maxime Rouge, to utilizing the latest AI tools to discover interesting new music.

He talks about differences between film and advertising, and how brands are embracing artists as ambassadors, as they try to authentically position themselves as cultural communicators rather than just sellers of product.

We find out that Grégoire is a cultural architect in his own right, organizing parties and events in and around Paris, influenced by experiences visiting some of the world's coolest clubs.

What comes across is Grégoire's passion and belief that "there is nothing more beautiful than a sync",  that the musical matchmaking moments he helps create, represent the absolute pinnacle of his craft.

We recorded this conversation during Reeperbahn Festival, Hamburg on 19.09.2024.

Thanks for listening!
